What Is the Difference Between a Gallery and an Album on GUESTPIX?

This is one of our most common pre-sale questions. Here is a clear explanation of how galleries and albums work together.

What is a gallery?

Your gallery is your main event space. It is the private digital gallery that your guests access when they scan your QR code or click your Magic Link. Everything guests upload goes into your main gallery, and it is where you as the host manage all your content.

Each GUESTPIX package includes one or more galleries. For most single events, one gallery is all you need.

What is an album?

Albums are sub-collections within your gallery. Think of your gallery as the main folder, and albums as organized sub-folders inside it.

Albums are great for organizing content by event type, time of day, or moment. For example, a wedding couple might create albums called Ceremony, Reception, and After Party. Guests can upload directly to a specific album, or you can move content between albums from your Manage Media area.

What are Super Albums?

Super Albums are the premium version of albums, available on Signature, Luxe, and Business packages. Super Albums give you unlimited albums with no cap on the number you can create - ideal for multi-day events or activities with lots of distinct moments you want to keep organized.

Can guests upload directly to an album?

Yes. When you share an album link with guests, they can upload directly into that album. You can also have guests upload to the main gallery and organize content into albums yourself from Manage Media after the event.
