I'm Experiencing Issues Individually Downloading Photos?
Why isn’t the download working properly?
This usually happens when the gallery is opened using Apple’s QR code scanner or a third-party QR code app. In these cases, the gallery may open inside a built-in web viewer instead of a normal browser, which can limit functionality - especially downloads.
What’s the best way to open the gallery?
As GUESTPIX is a fully web-based platform, it works best in a standard browser like Safari or Chrome.
How can I fix this?
We recommend either:
- Scanning the QR code using your iPhone’s native camera (not a QR app), which should open the gallery in Safari
- If you’ve already opened it via a QR app, tap the Safari icon to switch into a full browser before downloading
- Access and open your Magic link in a normal browser (Chrome/Safari) then try again to individually download images
This should give you the best experience and full functionality.
Alternatively, you have the option to generate a ZIP file of all your photos at once via your host dashboard if you would like to download everything all at once.
