Guests are being asked to provide a PIN/Passcode.

Sometimes guests will be redirected to the pin-protected URL for your event instead of the pin-less URL. This is a default security mechanism that protects your gallery from being shared or viewed by someone outside of your group.

This can happen when:

  • Guests are sharing the magic link among themselves or from one device to another.
  • Guests try to access the gallery in incognito browsing mode or occasionally via Facebook or Instagram browsers. We recommend guests use Chrome, Safari, or a mainstream browser so they are not prompted for the PIN and so they can have the best viewing experience.

We also recommend sharing your magic link with guests directly by email, SMS or whichever communication channel works best for you. You can find both your ‘magic link’ (does not require a pin) and your pin-protected link in your host dashboard. Additionally, it can be helpful to remind guests that this magic link cannot be shared to others (even other guests of the event).

You may even choose to provide your pin to your guests in case they need it. This unique pin can be found on your host dashboard, underneath ‘Event QR Code and Unique Link’ and in the ‘Pin Protected Link’ section.
